Apple Watch Ultra 2: Everything you need to know

The new Apple Watch Ultra 2 is powered by the new S9 SiP. This means that it has the new feature that has been recently launched by Apple which is Double Tap.

The feature is usable when for example you have coffee in your other hand and you want to pick up an important call, Now just tap your index finger and thumb together twice and that's it. With this feature, you can answer a call, stop a timer, play and pause music, or snooze an alarm. When you double tap it will open a Smart Stack on your iWatch Series 9, You can just Double Tap again to scroll through the widgets, this will feel like turning the Digital Crown. This new gesture is enabled by the powerful neural engine that has been added in Series 9, which processes data from the accelerometer, gyroscope, and optical heart sensor in a completely new way by using a machine learning algorithm to detect the tiny movements and changes in our blood flow when our hands and fingers perform a Double Tap action.

Ultra 2 also has a new advanced display architecture that can push the peak brightness of the display to 3000 nits. It is the brightest display Apple has ever created so far and makes Ultra 2 even more readable in the harsh sunlight. A new watch face has been introduced just for Ultra Watch 2 which is called as Modular Ultra. It displays real-time data like altitude, depth, or the passing seconds. Modular Ultra watch face can be customized and more information can be added to it so that it is available at a glance.

Night Mode now uses the ambient light sensor, which activates the Night Mode automatically in the dark.The watchOS 10 has given priority to cycling by allowing you to connect Bluetooth accessories to measure cadence, speed, and power. A new feature by the name of Power Zones has also been added. The Apple ecosystem is so well built that if you start a cycling session on your iWatch then you can instantly see it in your iPhone. If have gone for a dive and then later on you wanna know the stats of the session, now you can use the Depth app that now saves a log of each session, so you can review your dives right on Ultra and in the Fitness app on iPhone. On paper it is said that Ultra Watch 2 can last up to 36 hours of typical use on a single charge, and up to 72 hours in Low Power Mode. The Ultra 2 is made from 95% recycled titanium rather than fresh titanium. Ultra 2 joins Series 9 in the lineup along with the popular second-generation.
