What's New with this?

It was feasible earlier too that Apple users could send data to the Strava to get some metrics but they were very basic like the calories burned and heart rate starts. Most of the workouts synced will be labelled as Other workouts in the Strava app. But not anymore.

When a user will sync their Apple Fitness workouts with Strava they will get a way better summary of their workouts with some very rich details. It will even show the longest and the best of the activity that the user has performed. The user will also earn badges on completing certain achievements.

Is this the Future of Fitness Tech

As Apple is famous for its ecosystem sync, this is also an integration of its ecosystem, which will let users see their stats under one app of all their workouts. This will maybe help users take good care of their health by looking at their stats on a common platform.

The main integration is for Apple FFitness Plus users which is a paid membership for 9.99$ per month but some of the features will also be for the non-Plus user. Let's hope the integrations come out to be as awesome as they sound and not just some shady boring other app integration.

This is not some fancy update but more of creating an ecosystem for fitness where apps work hand in hand with each other to hold users with engagement. Whether you are a casual exerciser or an athlete obsessed with Strava, the combination of Apple's smooth workouts and Strava's community-driven platform might be just the kick you need to level up in 2024.
